AR Technology Brings Tabatha To Life
Until now Ranger Tabatha has just been a character on paper, now she takes on a whole new form thanks to AR technology. AR stands for Augmented Reality and means adding graphics to your existing environment as opposed to VR – Virtual Reality which takes you to an entirely different environment (ie the moon). To make this happen Tabatinga has teamed up with the Zappar platform. Guests will be able to download the free Zappar app onto their device and scan the codes in and around Tabatinga to reveal a 3D character who will talk to you. Codes will be on activity place mats, sticker-sheets, posters, table talkers and even on the play equipment. The content will regularly change creating a different experience on each visit.

May 2018 – Tabatinga Introduces Dine & Play
The normal Tabatinga business model is a fully blown pay-for-play fun centre located inside a licensed Club with a gated entry/exit controlled by staff.
However there are many Clubs that cannot commit such space and would prefer to have a free-to-use play area off the side of their dining space. To accommodate this the Tabatinga founders have introduced the Dine & Play concept.
The Dine & Play business model allows Clubs to make use of all the Tabatinga brand IP and knowledge base whilst offering a free-to-use play area instead of the full pay-for-play fun centre.
The first Club to take advantage of this new model is the Goulburn Soldiers Club. Currently under renovation the Goulburn Soldiers will proudly present their new free-to-use play area in September 2018.
July 2017 – Tabatinga Ingleburn Opens!
Everything was fresh and ready to go when the doors swung open on July 1st at Tabatinga Ingleburn. The newest venue in the Tabatinga family is located in the Ingleburn RSL Club in Chester Road, Ingleburn.
The venue has used some of the function space on the 1st floor of the building. RSL CEO Glenn Cushion said that the Tabatinga centre has been built in such a way as to minimize the impact of the Club’s ability to still host functions with two function rooms remaining on the 1st floor.
‘We are very excited to have a first class venue especially designed for children in the 0-12 year age bracket and their parents’, Mr Cushion said.
‘Clubs need to diversify their offering so they are welcoming all age demographics of their local communities and Ingleburn has a large population of families with young children – Tabatinga fits the bill perfectly and we couldn’t be happier with the result’.
